1st place - Bart Hobbs 701.96 miles
Bart started strong right at the start & continued to ride even after an injury, earning him the title ##CYCLINGMANIAC

Bart is the WINNER of a FREE race entry into La Grind 2025 in Emporia, Kansas

2nd place - Mychal Johnson 633.49 miles

Mychal is the WINNER of a $50 Gift Certificate to High Gear, Emporia, Kansas

Mychal Johnson is also the WINNER of a Handlebars of Hope t-shirt for riding his bike EVERY SINGLE DAY during the 29 day challenge. DEDICATION & we love it!

36 out of 42 cyclists HIT 100+ miles during the October Grind Challenge

Every cyclist who hit 100+ miles was entered into a drawing to WIN a FREE race entry into La Grind 2025 …. WINNER Rita Harvey! Rita hit 222.32 miles during the challenge, what an inspiration.

Total Group Distance was 9565.36 miles

$665 dollars was raised for local Handlebars of Hope bike recipients. The money raised during this event will go towards purchasing bike locks or lights to help keep cyclists & their bikes safe. Thank you to everyone who was able to help in this way. Handlebars of Hope pictures & stories will be shared on Facebook & Instagram so you can see the lives you have helped change.

We had a blast following each one of you & your cycling adventures over the last 29 days.

We will have another group challenge in March 2025 & October 2025.

NEW BIKE DAY!

This excited bike owner took home the last bike lock purchased with the funds raised during the October 2023 Bike & Seek Scavenger Hunt.

Let’s do it again! Join the 2024 October Grind Challenge & ride 100-Miles or MORE!

Donations will be accepted but not required to participate.

All donations will go towards purchasing bike locks to give to local Handlebars of Hope bike recipients, let’s help new bike owners protect their bikes.
